Exterior Design

This luxury performance SUV is strong as it is sleek. An AMG® grille and aerodynamic styling headline the design. There are flared wheel arches and lightweight AMG® wheels, with three of the seven wheel styles are coated in matte black. They range from 21 to 23 inches in diameter. Emerald Green Metallic, Obsidian Black Metallic, and Cirrus Silver Metallic are three of 10 AMG® GLS paint colors for Belmont SUV shoppers to pick out.

Interior Design

The AMG® GLS is designed to unite performance and luxury, offering a digital cockpit and sumptuous seating, keeping San Francisco drivers comfortable and in control on rides to Water Dog Lake, the Twin Pines Art Center, the Belmont Farmers Market, or downtown.

This new luxury SUV seats seven passengers in first-class comfort. Have fingertip control of gear changes, performance settings, and cabin features. The AMG® Performance steering wheel comes in four styles combining Nappa leather, microfiber, and carbon fiber.

Performance

With AMG® performance, the GLS 63 was born to perform and developed to outperform other SUVs. That starts with a handcrafted AMG® V8 engine that produces 603 horsepower and calls upon a 48-volt hybrid Integrated Starter Generator to add up to 184 pound-feet of gas-free torque (627 total).

Thanks to an AMG® SPEEDSHIFT® TCT 9-speed automatic transmission, there are nine ways for Bay Area drivers to revel in the revs. AMG® DYNAMIC SELECT modes - Individual, Comfort, Sport, and Sport+ - let Belmont motorists enjoy rev-matched downshifts. AMG® Performance Exhaust puts them in command of mellow growls to snarling crescendos.

AMG® Performance 4MATIC+ transfers torque to where the traction is. This performance feature also maximizes launch grip and optimizes cornering balance traveling along the 101 and roads around the San Francisco Peninsula. AMG® Active Ride Control enhances stability and handling. This new Mercedes-Benz AMG® SUV has the power to rein in power when stopping on San Francisco streets and the 101 Freeway, courtesy of high-performance brakes featuring fixed 6-piston front calipers and 15.7-inch ventilated discs.

Technology

Dual 12.3-inch digital displays pair multimedia and reconfigurable instruments. Voice Control with Natural Language Understanding comes with the Mercedes-Benz User Experience (MBUX) featuring 'Hey, Mercedes…' keyword activation. Standard AMG® GLS tech features include MB Navigation, a Burmester Surround Sound System, and Apple CarPlay®/Android Auto™ compatibility.

Safety

Active Brake Assist works to prevent or lessen the severity of collisions on San Francisco streets. Attention Assist monitors up to 70 parameters of driving behavior and can provide alerts visually and audibly. The standard Mercedes-Benz Emergency Call service initiates a call and summons local Bay Area emergency responders if an air bag deploys.
